SkyCity Brings Free Gigs to Auckland for NZ Music Month

SkyCity Auckland is turning up the volume with free live music shows at Flare Bar to celebrate New Zealand Music Month.

Thursday Nights Live, a series of free weekly shows throughout May will feature a lineup of the country’s most exciting musical talent. 

“This year marks 25 years of NZ Music Month – a quarter century of recognising the incredible talent we have right here in Aotearoa. At SkyCity, we’re getting behind that legacy with a lineup of artists who represent the diversity and creativity of New Zealand music today,” says Caroline Ah-Chong Douglas, SkyCity’s GM of Sales & Marketing. 

Every Thursday night in May, Flare Bar comes alive with a curated lineup of live acts and DJs – all bringing something fresh to the stage. From soul to hip hop to genre-bending beats, no two nights sound the same. 

Hosted by MC Slave (Fat Freddy’s Drop), these Thursday night gigs bring big beats, good vibes, and the kind of energy that only live music delivers. It’s a great chance to soak up the sounds of Aotearoa's finest in an electric setting.
