SKYCITY awarded 2018 Certificate of Excellence

SKYCITY has again been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in the 2018 TripAdvisor awards.

This is the fifth year in a row for the Sky Tower to be awarded and the sixth year for both the SKYCITY and Grand hotels. The accolade follows the Sky Tower’s recent number one ranking in the Travellers Choice award for 2018, a huge achievement for SKYCITY’s iconic landmark.

General Manager SKYCITY Hotels and Tower, Brad Burnett, says it's a great achievement for the Sky Tower and Hotels to be recognised with a TripAdvisor certificate of Excellence.

“TripAdvisor is the world's largest travel site, and reviews from customers are a direct result of their experience with us. These awards highlight the ongoing dedication and passion of our Tower and Hotel teams who continue to work really hard to deliver those memorable experiences to our customers. It's fantastic news for the team, and for SKYCITY," says Mr Burnett.

SKYCITY Grand Hotel

Collectively the SKYCITY Grand Hotel and SKYCITY hotel have over 600 rooms for guests to enjoy in the heart of Auckland’s CBD and SKYCITY’s dining and entertainment precinct, ideal for those seeking both leisure and work.

Additionally, it’s pleasing for the Sky Tower to be recognised for the fifth year in a row as a preferred tourist attraction. As the tallest free–standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere, the architecturally award winning Sky Tower is renowned for its views and in the past 20 years has welcomed over 15 million guests to its three observation decks and three dining outlets; Sky Café on Level 50, The Sugar Club by acclaimed New Zealand chef Peter Gordon, and Orbit 360° Dining that revolves 360 degrees each hour.

“SKYCITY continues to strive to provide world-class entertainment and these awards are a pleasing reflection of how SKYCITY is working hard to offer some of the best accommodation and experiences in Auckland,’’ says Mr Burnett.
